The newly built roof-only holiday home (built in 2022) in the Twistesee holiday park offers many holiday activities: Lake Twistesee with its lido (extensive climbing and play facilities for children, restaurant, sanitary facilities etc), the water ski facility, many designated individual bathing spots, a nudist beach, a dog beach, pedal boat hire and the over 7 km long foot and cycle path are all within walking distance. The holiday park has a mini-golf course, a tennis court, a table tennis table, a badminton and volleyball court and a well-equipped playground. There is also a chess board with pieces. Wetterburg (1 km) and Bad Arolsen (3 km) offer historical buildings (Wetterburg, (Arolsen:) baroque castle, baroque townscape, a baroque town church and a neo-Gothic Catholic church, many museums, ongoing art exhibitions and concerts (castle, riding arena) as well as numerous restaurants, many supermarkets and attractive shops. Kassel and Paderborn can be reached in 45 minutes by car.The holiday home can accommodate up to 6 people (maximum occupancy). There are paved paths around the house so that the terrace and the bicycle stand can be reached on dry ground. On the terrace there is a beach chair, a storage box for seat cushions, a weatherproof metal table, six weatherproof metal chairs, a gas barbecue and a lounger. The terrace is secured by an entrance door (small children, dogs). The stairs to the top floor are also secured, and the bedrooms on the top floor are each equipped with two single beds. The kitchen offers many extras: a freezer box, a dishwasher, a fridge with ice box, two coffee machines (including a Senseo with pods), a waffle iron (double), a water bubbler, kitchen scales, a toaster, a microwave, scales, an egg timer, crockery for 12 people, etc. There is a washing machine in the shower room, as well as an iron, ironing board and clothes horse. The sofa and the pull-out TV armchair are made of real leather and are therefore easy to clean. A white box made of imitation leather contains two woollen blankets and games (inside and outside) for adults and children. A smoke detector is available.Holiday park: Speed limit of 20 or 30 km/h. Cars are not allowed to drive to the individual holiday homes. Larger communal car parks or individual parking spaces are located in the immediate vicinity of the holiday homes. There are special luggage trolleys for transporting luggage. Waste stations are located near the car parks. Unfortunately there are no glass containers. Dogs should be kept on a lead in the holiday park and dog faeces should be collected in special plastic bags. The main paths are also lit at night with lanterns. Nevertheless, it is advisable not to let children walk alone after dark. Wetterburg with three restaurants, Bad Arolsen as a baroque town with a baroque castle, many restaurants and cafés, 5 museums, 4 supermarkets and many boutiques. 50 km away: Paderborn and Kassel, 20 km: Korbach, 15 km: Warburg and Wolfhagen, 8 km: Arolsen-Landau with castle.

Het hondenstrand is schoon, maar het zou iets groter kunnen zijn. Er zijn rondom het meer talloze grasveldjes waar zwemmen met honden ook is toegestaan.

Zeer mooi en groot hondenstrand. Helaas geen zand maar kleine steentjes (het is het beste om waterschoenen te dragen). Er is ook een groot grasveld met bomen die schaduw geven en bankjes en er ligt een grote parkeerplaats direct daarachter.
