The beach is fine sandy and darker, so it retains the heat for longer and, depending on the time of day, you may need "chanclas" (slippers) to cross it. In front of the water, the beach is sometimes fine sandy and sometimes pebbly, depending on the sea currents. You can take wonderful walks on the beach or go jogging on the promenade.
