Indeling
The Maiensäss (2 houses) is situated at 1850 metres above Poschiavo. It lies alone in the middle of the forest in a clearing. The Maiensäss is secluded and you can enjoy the peace and quiet of nature here. You can drive up to the Maiensäss by car (the last 6.5 km are on a dirt road) and there are parking facilities (uncovered) at the Maiensäss.

In the house (stone house) there is a kitchenette, a fireplace, a bench with table and a sofa. At the back of the house there is a shower, a WC and a washbasin. For cooking there is a gas cooker and a wood-burning stove with oven. A fridge-freezer combination (230 L/114 L), crockery and cutlery as well as cooking pots are available. Hot water is produced by a wood-fired boiler (70 litres).

In the dormitory (wooden house) there is a room with a double bed and a Swedish stove. Right next door is a small bedroom with a bunk bed. A WC with washbasin is located directly next to the two bedrooms. There is a lounge in the anteroom of the bedrooms.

The Maiensäss is heated exclusively by wood firing. Wood can be found in our own forest, axe and saw are available for use at your own risk. Firewood is provided.

Electricity is generated by solar panels (6 kWp) and stored in a battery system (15 kWh) (off-grid system). An electricity generator is available in case of bad weather. 4/5G signal is weak. The houses are not completely fenced and the outside area is partly video-monitored.

Electric car charging station: E-car drivers also get their money's worth with us. Charge your vehicle directly at the hotel and enjoy the benefits of electromobility. Please note that charging (type 2) is only possible when the sun is shining and up to a maximum output of 11 kW. Fee of CHF 0.65 per kWh will be charged

There is a fireplace outside for cosy get-togethers. There is also a parasol and 2 sun loungers. Sports activities in the surrounding area: mountaineering, hunting, climbing, mountain biking, cycling.
