Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a revitalised future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the ‘Vacation in Architectural Monument’ foundation, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005.Public transport: Bus 315 from Locarno, Stazione to Maggia, centroCar park: public car park by the churchNumber of persons 3: A cot is available on request (up to 2 years). Particular reference should be made here to the narrow, steep outside staircase, which is a source of danger for people who are restricted in their ability to walk or for small children. The tenant is aware of these circumstances.
